Pixi Nail Color in "Oh So Orange" is so neon and awesome!

Bring on the spring and summer with neon nails!
Pixi 3-Free Nail Color in "Oh So Orange"

If neon nails scare you then look away! This review is for those who love a vibrant pop of color, whether it be on the lips, a piece of clothing, or on the nails! Now that the sun is shining nationwide, we need to emphasize the elation of summer's arrival, and display it via bright colors! Well, we don't NEED to, but why not, especially since wearing vibrant colors is proven to reduce depression and elevate emotions of joy?

I was so impressed recently with Pixi's newest addition to their nail color line, "Coral Canteloupe" (click to read that review), that I decided to delve further into Pixi's fantastic color selection and try an even more neon nail color than "Coral Canteloupe". The crazy bright neon orange nail polish shade you see pictured is none other than Pixi's Nail Color in "Oh So Orange". I love the way this shade of nail polish looks on people with darker skin tones, or on lighter skin tones with a bit of a tan going. It's just such a fun color and can always be paired with solid colors to tone the look down a bit, although I can't say I haven't worn this nail color while also wearing my bright neon orange bikini! Perhaps that was overkill... but I liked it!

Pixi's nail colors are a less toxic option for those who are concerned with toxic chemicals in their nail polish. Pixi's nail polishes are labeled 3-free, which means they are free of toluene, formaldehyde and DBP. The formula of this nail polish is easy to apply and only requires two coats for the most pigmented color payoff and a long lasting finish. The formula does apply rather thickly and it is important to note that it begins to dry quickly, so one has to avoid swiping the polish with the brush for too long. Because the formula applies relatively smoothly, this is not a problem once you get used to the feel of this particular polish. The finish of "Oh So Orange" is a semi-matte, and the Pixi nail colors in general feel less "slippery" than many other nail polishes I have tried. It almost has a papery feel to it when rubbed.
